Airline as well as plane maker sued in Buffalo plane crash

Relatives of Susan Wehle, of Amherst, N.Y are suing Pennacle Airlines, Continental Airlines, Colgan Air, and Bombardier Aerospace of “inadequate deicing equipment and an improperly trained crew” in the plane crash on February 12 near Buffalo, N.Y.

The family is seeking unspecified damages in the case.

Colgan Air has defended its pilots and crew while Continental and Pennacle have yet to respond to the lawsuit.

Every time a suit like this comes up, it seems like the airlines end up paying out, however to me, that is admitting fault and I think sometimes they should have to prove that it was human error instead of mechanical failure.
