An alternative to eBay?

Listia

I have recently come across a website that has a pretty neat concept. It is called Listia and it’s an auction site that auctions free stuff.

Users list their items for free and other users bid on it with “credits.” They obtain credits by signing up and then listing their things on the site. Because of this, no money is ever exchanged.

Right now there are auctions up for Peek devices as well as a Kindle. Of course, those things are going to cost a lot of credits, BUT right now you can get 300 free credits just for signing up and listing an item. I think the idea is pretty smart. If I wouldn’t have just listed all the stuff I didn’t want on eBay I would be really interested in trying this.

Maybe if some of you guys out there try this, then you can let me know how you like it!
