Boston area business to offer free dry cleaning to unemployed.

Massachusetts based Dependable Cleaners is offering a free dry cleaning for three free suit cleanings to anyone who is currently unemployed and needing a clean suit for a job interview. All the unemployed person has to do is provide a unemployment pay stub.

The company will give out 2,000 certificates that are good for the three suit cleanings. The usual charge is $15 a suit.

“We wanted to do something to help out our neighbors and customers who are struggling through these difficult times,” said Christina Hagearty, president of Dependable Cleaners, in a statement. “It is our hope that this may relieve some of the stress for job seekers.”

It is nice to see a company doing something for people who aren’t able to afford such a service. While this isn’t going to solve unemployment, maybe a few people will be able to look nice for interviews. I find that when you look nice, you feel more confident which could be a key to getting the job.
