Building links

Whenever you start a website, you will find yourself trying to do things to build your rankings in the search engines. One of the most important things that you can do is to build links. When you build links, you could either take on the process on your own or use an effective link building service.

We often try to do all our link building on our own. There are some services that we use that help us get in touch with other companies and websites that want to exchange links; most of the time we try to find our links though those services. You could try to go to webmaster forums and other places to find people and businesses to trade links with as well. At one point in time, I tried to network this way but found myself a little behind on the internet marketing jargon…it is so different than what I am used to.

Building links is so important because the more links that your website has the better it is for advertising dollars. PR is all the rage right now and a lot of ad networks base how much you’re going to earn with an ad on your site by your site’s pr.
