Clear Channel CEO takes pay cut

Mark Mays, Clear Channel CEO, took home $300,000 less than last year according to documents filed with the SEC. His paycheck breaks down to a $366,950 base salary, $1.85 million bonus, $120,878 in stock awards and $286,974 in stock options.

Mays owns 29,167 shares of Clean Channel Outdoor stock, which closed at $3.83 per share May 1 and has traded between $2.14 and $22.49 over the past year. CC Media stock trades over the counter and has been selling at about $1.75 per share.

At least this guy is taking a hit on his salary after all the people from Clear Channel that have been laid off in the past few months. In the past few months, Clear Channel has laid off thousands from the Advertising and Sales departments and over a thousand on-air personalities.
