Free beer and snacks to snarky customers

There’s a new way to get a free drink in Spain. At Casa Pocho in the resort town of Cullera offers a free beer and tapas to the snarky recession-worn customers that have been coming through the doors. Last week the bar opened up the promotion last week and the results have been good.
What you have to do is insult the bartender in a unique way. The insults have to be in good fun, not be mean, and original.
Obviously you can’t just go up to the bar tender and call them an obscenity, but one of the best insults that one of the bartenders has heard since the beginning of the promotion was that his ears were so large that they reminded the customer of a car with its doors wide open.
The idea behind the promotion was to help customers get some relief from the recession and to give them a way to vent instead of arguing with their spouses or taking out their anger at home.
Surprisingly, the owner has said that since the beginning of the promotion, no one has taken advantage of the system or even gone over the line in the insults.
I personally think that this promotion is hilarious. I would love to see a local bar do something like this. Instead of sitting at home and getting angry at the dogs or Chris, I could go to the bar and get a beer to say the same things. I’ve had rough day s in the past year, so bad at times I would likely be able to come home absolutely inebriated from insulting the bartender.
This is also a lot more constructive than throwing things at each other.
Even if it is just a small beer and some snacks that only equal to about $2, it is something to get peoples’ minds off what is going on in the global economy.
