Maximize Your Success – Spend Some Cream

There are many ways to achieve success, relentless devotion, innovative ideas, or having the right financial backer. Whatever your playbook for success many be, it’s important to remember that success comes at a price. A price that all to often halts the success train for many business professionals. Sometimes the approaching of the success consumes us so much that we forget what we are succeeding for, we break down, we crack, we stumble and fall.

Sound familiar or is it someone you know? They have it all, and suddenly they’re on at the end. They’ve jumped the cart and can’t seem to get back on track. They need a day off, perhaps two, now they barely come to work at all. If this sounds like you, or someone you know, then you’re about to have a meltdown, a system failure, a total cess and desist of success.

How did I get this way, what did I do wrong? I’m hitting my goals, achieving my dreams, I show up to work everyday always on time. I never miss a deadline, stay late after work, sometimes miss my lunch break, and never ask for time off. The problem is your living your life like a machine and as every machine needs maintenance so do you. Everyone knows what happens to poorly maintained machinery; so why should this be a surprise when it happens to you. Prevent the inevitable, spend some “cream”.

Spending “cream” (money) can be incredibly beneficial to your well being and personal success. Spending “cream” shows us a beneficial impact because we are rewarding ourselves with instant gratification now for something we have achieved in the past. Taking a well deserved trip to Hawaii because you increased sales by 10% last month. Spending “cream” can also be a powerful self motivator if you are stuck in a slump, or are in need of an additional reason to achieve a goal.

There are also alternative ways to “spending cream” that are greatly beneficial as well. Taking a longer lunch, having every Friday afternoon off, but they usually don’t add the lasting power or full effect of spending “cream” in its true form. The overall point of spending “cream” is to create a state of calmness, self worth, and sense of accomplishment. This helps to reduce stress which allows us to have a better chance of succeeding at our future goals. So the next time you’re feeling stressed out, spend some “cream.” It can make all the difference in the world, and turn a lagging slump into a temporary bump.
