Palm releases the “Pre” along with webOS.

Today at CES, Palm announced the “Pre,” a touchscreen smartphone that has a slide out full qwerty keyboard. It is completely different than anything Palm has offered in the past, it even does away with Palm’s OS and enters the market with a new Linux based, webOS.

The phone will be offered on Sprint at first, but a GSM model will be coming out in the future.
