Starbucks launces ad campaign against McDonald’s

Jennifer McClelland | RSS | 2 Comments

As Starbucks looses market share to McDonald’s, who has been offering espresso drinks at a much lower price than Starbucks, the coffee giant has created an ad campaign to target the “discount” chain.

Starbucks had a “sneak peek” of a new marketing campaign on YouTube recently.

The youtube “sneak peek” shows the upcoming full page ads that Starbucks will take out to compare it to competitors.

  1. I don’t really think consumer’s care about Starbucks’ “story.” They just care about getting coffee at a reasonable price. Starbucks’ could save some money on the new ad campaign and lower their prices…

  2. Wow this is definitely interesting. Living in Seattle, Starbucks has become a stable in my daily life. What I find pretty ironic about this though is the thought that McDonald’s sales are in any way harming Starbucks, considering the fact that McDonald’s serves Seattle’s Best Coffee and Starbucks owns Seattle’s Best.
