Super Bowl ads hit a low note this year?

Fed Ex and others have already pulled their Super Bowl ads  for the February 1st NBC broadcast. NBC said that most of the ad spots had sold by mid-January for $3 million for a :30 spot.
So this could be a much more toned down year …
