Most expensive real estate markets
Jennifer McClelland | RSS | Wed, Mar 25 2009 | 2 CommentsEven in a global recession as tough as what we’re currently seeing, there are still plenty of places around the world where price per square foot is unfathomable to most.
- Number one on CNBC.com’s list is Monaco at $6,550 per square foot on average.
- London – $3,670
- New York – $2,160 per sq ft
- Moscow, Russia – $2,120 per sq ft
- Paris, France – $2,100 per sq ft
- Tokyo, Japan – $2,080 per sq ft
- Hong Kong – $2,060 per sq ft
- Rome, Italy – $1,770 per sq ft
- Singapore – $1,550 per sq ft
- Sydney, Aust. – $1,440 per sq ft
My house cost $93 per square foot, so there’s a very VERY large gap there.
