  1. Number one on CNBC.com’s list is Monaco at $6,550 per square foot on average.
  2. London – $3,670
  3. New York – $2,160 per sq ft
  4. Moscow, Russia – $2,120 per sq ft
  5. Paris, France – $2,100 per sq ft
  6. Tokyo, Japan – $2,080 per sq ft
  7. Hong Kong – $2,060 per sq ft
  8. Rome, Italy – $1,770 per sq ft
  9. Singapore – $1,550 per sq ft
  10. Sydney, Aust. – $1,440 per sq ft

My house cost $93 per square foot, so there’s a very VERY large gap there.

The pilots, 54-year-old pilot Kevin Kylemosley and 49-year-old copilot, Anthony Stephen-Pino were flying into Tokyo from Guangzhou, China when their aircraft skipped along the longer of two runways at the Narita Airport in Tokyo.

The flight ended with the plane upside down and on fire.
